We want to provide an update on COVID-19 in our Querencia community. We learned on Wednesday, December 2^nd, that one of our team members tested positive for the virus. This is our only team member active case of the virus and they are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.

We are pleased to report that we have no resident cases of the virus at this time.

While this news provides a level of comfort, it is important to continue protecting yourself and others from the virus. Residents and team members are encouraged to continue to practice social distancing and wearing a mask or face covering when you interact with others in public settings. Continued attention to proper hand hygiene, including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, is essential to preventing the spread of the virus.

As you may be aware, cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in Texas. In response, Lifespace and Querencia continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We highly encourage residents to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments.

Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
